What inspires you? Is it something in life such as art, written word, perhaps music? Maybe it’s a person you know?

Myself, I am inspired by several things in life. When I hear a good story, I want to write. I want to create. When I see a great photograph I can’t wait to pick up my camera.

Lately Bryci and I have been talking a lot about the future, what we’d like to shoot, where we’d like to shoot. It’s painful because I don’t get my new camera for another 16/17 days still.. but it’s coming at least!

Nikon literally finalized the firmware for this camera *today* so when I get the camera, it is basically under 3 weeks old, from the factory where it was created. I don’t think I have ever owned anything that new, have you? I’ll have the first D4 in British Columbia which is kind of cool, not that it matters I guess. I know of some major camera chains in BC that don’t even get the D4 from the first shipments but I ordered mine waaaay back when they announced it. As in, that day, that morning sort of thing. A guy’s gotta get back to work you know.

I think if I were to look inward at my life, I’d say Bryci inspires me more than anything. She stands behind me in everything and she’s so amazing, she actually makes me want to be a better human. I do believe in other lives, or previous lives.. they have to exist. I mean, how else do you explain me ending up with an Angel? I must have saved a busload of children from certain death or something to earn the karma points that got me into her heart.

Ok Ok.. enough mushy…

I went to see my doc today for my 7 week check up.

Yup, it’s been 7 weeks (this Wed that is) since I had surgery for my hernia, my intestines getting reworked, my fascia getting tightened etc. Bryci was right there in the room with me when I disrobed. My surgeon was amazed at the progress. I was much flatter then he expected my stomach to be. Hell yes that was great to hear. Anytime you can shock your doctor with your progress, it’s a good day.

I was given the green light to start cardio so tomorrow.. Hello Mr Spin Bike. We invested in a good quality one some time back, might as well put the fucker to use! I am allowed to start lifting again in about a month according to Doc but myself, I am going to listen to my body instead. I honestly don’t expect to be ready to go in a month. My abs were cut for crying out loud. They still sting sometimes when sitting up.. so if it takes 6-8 weeks before I start thrashing my core, I’m alright with that.

My goal is 170 pounds. I currently weigh 180.2

I did weigh 187 when I went into surgery.

I want to get to 170 via proper eating, water intake and cardio. Then, I start the asteroid stack and pick up where I left off with the five second cadence taught in Tim Ferris’s Four Hour Body. He didn’t start the method, he merely carried it forward. Geek to Freak as he calls it, works. I tried it myself and Bryci told me she’s never seen me gain that kind of size before. Five second cadence REALLY thrashes your body in a good way.

Oh yeah… I forgot.. I am not writing ONE more JamesDot work style book… I am writing TWO. They will be released at the same time, odds are… end of March/April area.

This is so dead on it’s not even funny. If you’ve spent any time in forums, bulletin boards etc you know what I am talking about. Someone will post a photo or photos of a hot girl, sometimes a net model, other times a friend of a friend.

Like a moth to a flame, there’s always at least one guy with a negative comment. Shooting down the girl or saying how he’d never hit that (like he could if he wanted to) etc.

It always makes me smile that people make comments they’d never have the balls to say to the woman’s face.

Then there’s the guys out there that see models online and they get confused why they can’t find a girl like that in their life. ?????? whaaaa?

Guys guys guys – your dream girl is RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU.

Seriously, odds are you already know her or she’s in your day to day life. Question is, are you worthy of her?

Any guy that has ever had a girlfriend knows ladies can dress up or dress down. They can turn up the heat, they can turn down the heat, depending on their mood, depending on what they’re feeling that day.

Think of yourself as an example, you have some days where you put limited to no effort into your appearance, right? Why is it any different for females? Make up and hair is a game changer for some people, no question.

Many of the guys would see the girl on the right and think… ewww… no thank you. Yet if she did her make up and hair, all of a sudden she’s acceptable or hot to them.

Again, the lady on left may not turn heads with many guys but the one on the right, may.

Internet standards are a scary thing.

So many guys are single right now because they’re holding out for their own Bryci, Katie Banks, Talia Shepard. I’d wager if any of these ladies were in their uber causal mode at the mall, most guys would not recognize them.

I know it’s shocking but models don’t look like models usually.

WHAT IS THIS TRICKERY YOU SPEAK OF!!!???

I’m not kidding. Models put a lot of effort into looking the way they do. Well, the successful ones do anyway. This is a totally different topic and it has the chance to explode and piss off some ladies so we’ll walk away from it…s lowly… backing away…. umm…. yeah.

So, here’s my question to the guys that have net standards – how many of you are worthy? Why would any female want to date or get with you? I have asked myself that in the past when single, just as perhaps you have as well. What did I change when needed? Well, the easiest way to answer this.. me. If you take pride in yourself and have some confidence, you’ll be surprised how far that takes to.

You don’t need to look like Brad Pitt to score your dream girl but you do need to be a decent guy.

Here’s something I can tell you, take it for what it is worth. I have shot over 300 models in the past ten years. Of those 300 models, I’d say 75% of them were single at the time. No, I’m not kidding. Why? It’s fucked, but most guys don’t go talk to beautiful women. No confidence in themselves. “Why would they date me?” and other awesome questions running around in their head when what they should be thinking is.. “Why WOULDN’T she date me? I’m a GREAT guy!”

It’s all about attitude. Confidence is king but if you’re overly cocky, you’ll come off as a douche. My advice is just be yourself. Take some pride in who you are and for fuck’s sake, try and see past your browser window. As i said, your dream girl is most likely right in front of you in your day to day life. I know my dream girl is in my day to day life, and I’m sure many of you are just as lucky as I am.
