Avatar 3D

Bryci and I went and watched the movie Avatar tonight in 3D. This movie is worth the hype and then some. At first when I heard how much the movie cost, estimated somewhere around 250-500 million, depending on what you read… I figured, no way. No way Cameron will make back the money. Biggest flop of all time in 3…2…

Then I watched the movie.

This movie will make you believe that anything is possible. This movie will make you remember what ti was like to watch Saturday morning cartoons without a care in the world other than what is on next. This movie takes you away from your life, and takes you deep into space to another world that is so beautiful, you’ll actually  feel sad when the lights come up and you’re back to your regular life.

For those of you that recall seeing Star Wars or Empire Strikes Back in the theatres as a kid, this movie takes you back to that time.. where fantasy ruled supreme and you couldn’t wait to get home and tell everyone what you’d just seen so they too could go experience the magic you’d just witnessed. This is one of those movies where you’ll actually find yourself wondering how you can go back a second time to see it, maybe even a third to catch all the things you’d missed.

Now, with all that said…

To 3D or not to 3D?

3D all the way. I had never seen a 3D movie before, neither had Bryci. We were 3D virgins. So what can I tell you? Well, in future when seeing a movie… if there is a 3D option, that is the only way I will watch the movie. Is it worth the extra money they charge you to watch it in 3D? HELL YES. The only way this would be better would be 3D Imax. :)

This movie is worth seeing in theatres. This movie is worth making plans to see. This movie will, quote me now, take Titanic off the #1 position. Remember how New Moon was breaking records? Yeah, those records are about to be shattered again.

Way to go, James Cameron, be proud of what you’ve accomplished.

I am in awe of this movie.
