Jamesdot.com was formed because I got tired of typing new domain name searches in, trying to find a decent domain name. I tried more names in an one hour block of time than I care to admit. Did you know penguindswithswords.com was still available? Well, now ya know. huh.

About Me

I created this section not to come off like some ass clown, but more to answer some of the questions I often get in email etc. This website is supposed to be my waste of time so meh, might as well fill it with some words words words right?

My name is James (as mentioned above) and yes, that is my real name. It’s some cool net alter ego like deathray29 or sexforu69 or even Puppyslayer No, my parents named me James… so James it is.

Yes, I have used ‘net names’ in the past like most of you in forums and what not. I even had my own website for awhile where the entire site was centered around one of those net names, but that’s another lifetime, another story.

My name is James and I am Canadian. I work in the adult entertainment industry, both as a webmaster/site admin and also as a photographer. I’ve been doing sites now for 12-/13 years, and I’ve photographed over 300 women thus far. I’m no different then you, I’m not some guido with a popped collar. I’m a geek, I’m a hockey fanatic, I know stuff. Yup, that’s pretty much me. I try and live my life by one simple philosophy. Sometimes I hit it, other times I fall short, but I pick myself up, dust myself off, and keep trying. That philosophy is actually a quote by Mahatma Gandhi. Personal and Work

I am not married, but I am very much off the market. I’ve been dating the most amazing woman for the past 3+ years. She is also my business partner and together, we’re a pretty solid team. We operate Bella Production Company. We operate two websites right now, Bryci.com and AvaDawn.com and of course.. more on the way.

I often get asked what it’s like having tons of guys online drooling over Bryci. Do I get jealous? Does it phase me?

Easy answer? No. She sleeps right beside me every night. I don’t have reason to get jealous, after all, life is too short to sweat the small stuff, ya know? Sure, there will be things said that make me think… wtf… but meh, it’s internets. Everyone is a keyboard warrior on the net. She’s amazing, and other guys wish they had a girl like her. I get it. What’s funny… if they knew the reality of the situation, how freaking amazing Bryci truly is…. then they’d either wish they had a girlfriend like her more, or they’d be scared shitless. So many guys out there make the stereotype that if a woman is beautiful, she is just looks. With Bryci, they couldn’t be more wrong.

Bryci is easily one of the most intense women I have ever met. She is smart, funny, can add to almost any topic with something tangible. She’s the kind of girl you bring home to Mom for damn sure. She’s my best friend and I love her far more than words on this screen could say.

Geek

Some of you are far bigger geeks than I. Both in your knowledge of the Whedon Multiverse, and also on the scales. The stereotype of a geek online is the dude that plays WoW 24/7, lives in his Mom’s basement and is most likely a little or a lot overweight. That’s not me though. Sure, I have a few pounds Id like to loose, we all have that… right? I stand 6′0 and weigh around 180-200 area. Right now.. 178 but I have gotten up to 204… all depends if I am working out hard or eating chocolate cake (WUT UP).

I didn’t grow up a comic book nerd, I sort of evolved into it because of this dude I knew named Clint. I had read Superman before Clint, I am a hardcore Supes fan… but seeing Clint’s love for all that is drawn, all that is inked.. really made me look further.

I still don’t line up to get the new issues on Tuesdays… or is it Wednesdays? See, a hardcore comic book fan would know this. They’ve actually audibly said the day to their computer screen as they read this, as if to answer me. Thanks, nerd. (I kidd, I kidd)

Being that I’m a comic book lover, I wanted to get tattooed with something like Marvel vs DC or possibly the good guys on one arm, the bad guys on the other, then they’re meeting to fight across my back, but well… I plan to have sex again in my life so we’ll leave that idea on the table. I do think I’ll get a comic theme sleeve though at some point, something to offset my left sleeve, inspired my George Clooney’s ink work in From Dusk Till Dawn. (yes, I am cool like that)

Computer(s)

I have two systems. One for video editing and one for everything else. The Mac… a Ferrari for a computer and it makes about as much sense as owning a 599GT to go get groceries. It’s an Apple Mac Pro, 8 cores, 2 x quad 2.8 Xeon Processors, with ten gigs of ram.

The second system is a Windows 7 box, i7 920 quad processor x 6 gigs of ram with an assload of 1 tb Seagate 7200.12 drives.

If you kick it over to http://geekbench.ca and download their software… give it a go and see how fast your computer is. The numbers above, are from my geekstations. 11178 in Mac Side, 10557 in Windows 7 in the Mac. 8481 for the dedicated Windows 7 i7 920 box.

Overkill. I know.

My Side of the office

Apple on left, PC (Windows) on right. Two 30” Apple Cinema HD screens… best screen you’ll ever own, period. I’ve used a lot of screens, these are insane. One piece of advice if you look into snagging one, hit up the refurbished side of Apple. Fuck paying full price. It’s the same warranty, same everything, brand new, so why not save some green?

Apple - I use a Mac Pro 2.8 with 2 Intel Xeon Quad Processors. (8 cores) and 10 gigs of ram. Seven 1tb Seagate 7200.12 hard drives, Logitech G9 mouse and one 30" Apple Cinema HD Display with a Nvidia GTX-285 video card.

PC (Windows) – I use an i7 quad processor (920) with 6 gigs of ram, 5 1tb Seagate 7200.12 hard drives, Logitech G9 mouse and yet another 30” Apple Cinema HD Display. My video card for the PC is seriously underpowered, so that’ll change when I can change it.

See that chair in the Bryci office pic, far right side?) Get one. It’s called the Aeron by Herman Miller. They are expensive, but worth every penny. It is the sweetest thing since sliced bread. Comes with a ten year warranty against every possible thing and if you live your life in your chair, this is the only way to fly. Larger pic of chair here.

Bryci’s side of the office

Bryci uses a Mac Book Pro 2.53GHz with 4 gigs of ram with 24" Cinema Display for Photoshop work. She loves her MBP more than me. True story. Ok, not that much, but the girl sure loves her lappy.

Camera Equipment

In the time I have been shooting, I have been all over the place. I’ve used small simple cameras like the Canon SD500 to smaller DLSR’s like the Nikon D40, to the Nikon D80, and now, I am shooting with the Nikon D700.

This camera is sex and then some. I have it coupled with two lens I use the majority of the time, a Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 and a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 AF-S. These lens are amazing, and the thing about the D700 if you’re not really into photography as I am.. is that it is a full frame camera. Meaning you see so much more then with a DX camera. The majority of the digital cameras out there are DX, if you own a digital camera that is a DLSR, if you paid under $3000… odds are it’s DX. DX is great, don’t get me wrong, it’s just not as much fun as an FX (full frame). Once you go FX, you don’t ever go back. I use a Speedlight SB-800 for my main flash, with an umbrella and softbox for inside lighting (one hot, one cold).

See the red frame? That is what a DX camera would see if you looked through the viewfinder. Now… see the green box? Yup, you guessed it.. that’s FX. The FX allows me to do some photos with Bryci that just would never be possible with DX. I can stand up to a foot and a half away from her and no joke, get her entire body in frame. It’s amazing. I will be adding an epic amount of photos of the lovely Miss Bryci to the GIRLS area.

Yes, I have a tough job. No joke, think you could remain calm, cool and collected with a goddess like this in front of you, getting naked? Yeah, I don’t think so Tim. It’s hard work, no question. I’m not complaining of course.  

Across the street from our home… life is so much easier without stress of big city life. I know, I suck. I’d hate your ass too rolls reversed but hey man, we all have choices, right?
