I do not sparkle. I am not a Cullen. I am however in touch with my feminine side, we’ll get to that later…
Last night, I watched Twilight: New Moon with Bryci, she has read all the books and she loved the books. I watched Twilight when it came out, fully expecting it to suck but it was actually not too bad at all. I was pleasantly surprised.
Yes, I still have my balls. No Bryci does not keep them in a jar on the mantle. Thx.
So last night we watched New Moon as I was saying, which is part 2 in the 4 book series. I had read it’s really emo and a lot of brooding scenes with weird stares off screen, very moody. Shit emo kids would eat up. I went into it, expecting a suck fest but hoping for it to be at least as good as the first movie. It didn’t disappoint. It was really good actually!
Now some of the guys reading are thinking… holy shit, LAME! I’m going to go with the guess these guys are not in touch with their feminine side. As in, not able to watch something that isn’t blood/guts and has a romantic side to the movie. I remember being that age too, if it wasn’t Rambo or some Ninja movie, fuck that.
Then I met a girl.
aaaand that was that.
You can think I’m a pussy for watching New Moon if that makes you feel more manly, but let’s remember which one of us is single and which one of us is not. I grabbed the movie because I knew that B would appreciate it and that’s what you do when you are in a relationship. She liked the movie, and she watched it with me knowing I wasn’t sitting there picking it apart and laughing at it as many of you might.
It’s give and take guys, you might find you meet more ladies if you lowered your male angst juuuust a little. It’s good to be “manly” but it’s better to know when to be manly and when to have a sensitive side. If your lady wants to watch a “chick flick”, don’t be an idiot… watch it with her. After all, she probably puts up with your movie choices too right? Ever hear her complain?
What’s funny is that a lot of you guys are going to grab this, watch it and not admit you saw it because oh snap, what would my guy friends think!? Newsflash junior, they watched it too. Nobody cares.
I do not sparkle like Edward, but in B’s eyes, I do. I don’t need to be a Cullen. Added bonus, I’m white enough as it is. :p
