Ah well, the day has come and the D4 has arrived. unboxing time.

Nikon included a 16 gig XQD card and card reader. XQD is the future for cards for cameras, as in.. you know that SD card or CF card you have now in your camera? Next year’s model of that camera, or the year after depending on your camera and how up to date they are.. will all be XQD. XQD is the fastest card possible, and they can go all the way up to 4 gig currently. The ones for sale stop at 32 gigs right now, but this is changing as well.

Being that I am in Canada, my Nikon has two manuals, one in English, in French.

Right out of the box, I am blown away with how light this is. All I had read in reviews was “what a tank it is” and what not. I am thinking the reviewers shoot with small compact cameras or smaller dlsrs without pro grip/extra batteries. That makes sense to me anyway.

This is lighter than a D700 with pro grip and extra battery. I weighed mine before selling it, this is 1.1 pounds lighter then D700, pro grip, extra battery in pro grip. That might not seem like much, but it adds up.

Holy shit.. TWO battery charger included! Nice!

Breaks down how much time you have shooting. this is cool.

The battery that comes with it is said to be good for 2600 shots. I’d like a second battery as a back up me thinks.

So there you have it, I have not started to shoot with it yet, I just started to play with the menus. The LCD screen on the back, wow. The resolution looks like an iphone 4s, so clear, almost like a video game.

The two card slot set up, you can have it write in overflow meaning one card is full, it writes to second card. You can set it for back up so it writes to one, then copies to other.. or you can write in raw / jpeg so it is putting raw pix on card A, jpegs on card b.

Seriously, in the ten minutes I have played with this camera, I can tell you one thing. My game has changed.

Some of you have noticed some changes in the @Bryci flow of things in the past week. We added a video to http://bryci.com called Ice Ice baby that set a few of you ablaze and then followed it up this week with the Hitachi video Bryci made literally. yesterday. No joke, she made the video, I edited it, compressed it, uploaded it and put it live all inside a couple hours. All in 1920 × 1080 true HD goodness.

Yes, some changes have been made.

This of course brings upon a few armchair quarterbacks that will have assumptions or guesses as to why we took this turn. I could go into great detail but truth is, I’m not Bryci. (shocker, my boobs are not as much fun as hers). Maybe instead I copy/paste the exact blog quote on her site, sound better? What’s better than learning the truth from the girl herself?

OK, so all day today my email inbox has lit up with questions and comments about my recent video, so in an effort to not tire out my fingers from typing a ton of emails I thought I’d write a quick dear diary for everyone

The general question is, what’s up with your new video? What made you choose to go further?

Well, some of you may know that I have been in the adult industry for a while even before my own website launched so it’s not like this is all brand new to me. I love sex, I love being happy, I think we should all be so lucky as to have both! Anyway, I thought long and hard if I was comfortable with doing a site before I started modeling because I didn’t want to do something I’d regret. I’m happy to say that I’ve loved every day of it so far! So please know that this decision was just the same as the first, thought out long and hard with no input from anyone. I talked it over with a few friends, then shelved the idea, then brought it back up, then shelved, and maybe it’s just me getting more comfortable in my own skin but finally I said ENOUGH! I am done living for other people’s happiness, or what others may think of me. We only have one life that we know of, and time slips away so fast it scares me sometimes. I said enough, and chose to make my own day to day happiness top priority!

So with that said, I’m taking my site and my members and myself on a wild ride. I want to have fun, be me, and experience new things and share these experiences with you all. I’m still the shy girl next door so I’ll warm up after some practise Excuse the videos being ultra long but I like having multiple orgasms :O hahaha!

I’m sure some people may wish that I stayed a nude model, and others will be happy.. but I’ve got to do what makes ME happy so I hope you have fun with that or at least can respect that I will have fun with it <3 I just wanted all my loving fans to know that I am happy and I did this for me

So there you have it. I had sweet fuck all to do with it. Yes, I was asked extensively what i thought about this or that, but in a way that I never knew it was regarding her. B is a smart cookie, she does her thinking and then when she’s ready to let me in on things, she does. When i found out what her thoughts on this were, I was caught off guard a little. I told her rule #1, do it for fun, do it for her. Don’t do for your fans, or money, or fame. Do it because you want to explore, and if this is the right step to take, so be it. After all, it’s not like she’s taking on a football team. Why this sort of thing is viewed as taboo to some is confusing to me, but to each their own of course.

She took my words and pondered them for awhile or so, and boom, here we are. I’m sure some will love, some will hate, it’s all part of the game. I’m sure I’ll read some fucktard saying she was broke and needed to do this or something equally as hilarious. Truth is, as with her own site, it was never about the money. It was always about having fun and being her.

As for what the future holds.. pffft fuck if I know. I mean, I know a few things not written here but we’ll wait and see what’s what, ya know?

I for one am damn proud of Bryci. From day one she has done her site by her rules. She has not tried to be someone else, she has not listened to what people told her she ‘must do’ to survive in the biz. She’s been true to herself, and that’s it. Her fans adore her near as I can tell, and I adore them for respecting her as they do.

I sort of took January off to heal and get better but hey, last time I checked… it’s FEBRUARY now.

Well, it’s official. I am a D4.

I just bought a Nikon D4. I could go into the pluses, minuses of the camera but it’d come off like a tech blog and many could care less. So instead, some eye candy.

What you need to know.. the pixels are larger. Meaning, the quality of my photos will be improving. Yaaaaaay!

I’d tell you about the megapixels (16.2) but that doesn’t really matter. It’s the size of the pixels that matters. Many people think higher the megapixel, the better the pic, but this is not always true. Once you pass 10/12 mp, it becomes irrelevant unless you’re printing billboards and even then, doesn’t make a monster difference. What does matter, is the pixel size and sensor size. The larger the pixel, the clearer the pixel. Just because you have more, smaller pixels, doesn’t mean you get a better image. Make sense? if not, check this article from 2008.

Does it seem like I am excited? You would be correct if you made that assumption.

Last May area, Kara from Kiss Kara and I spoke for the first time. @tweetkisskara for those of you in twitterland

We had traded tweets or whatever, like anyone does.. but this was different. She was on a mission. She approached me and asked me if I’d be interested in working with her. She had watched how we work with Bella. She was friends with Katie Banks, one of the Bella ladies and had spoken to her about Bella. She liked what we were doing, and she liked how I was treating the ladies I work with.

I’ll be the first to tell you, I make mistakes. I’m human. I fuck up. We all do. Nobody out there is perfect, every model and every webbie has their good points, and their not so good points. I’m no different really. I can honestly tell you that i treat the girls I work with the same way I’d want another webbie to treat Bryci if she was working with someone else. As in, if I wasn’t her photographer, her webmaster etc and we were just dating. If she was still a model, working with someone else, I’d want her treated with the utmost respect.

I try and treat the Bella ladies this way and sometimes I succeed, other times I might fall short. We’re human and sure, we’ve had disagreements here and there as any friendship or working relationship might. I’m not perfect, I don’t ask the ladies to be. We’re just trying to have fun, ya know? I’m pretty sure each and every Bella would say good things of me. Ex Bellas.. most likely not so much. I’ve unfortunately had to let one go along the way for undisclosed reasons I don’t feel are necessary to be discussed. Otherwise, it’s a perfect record. It’s funny how if you treat people with respect and work hard on their behalf, they often respond the same way.

When Kara sought me out, telling me she was going to buy her website out from her old webmaster, and she wanted me to run her new site.. I was flabbergasted. I was stunned. I was in disbelief. Nobody does this, first off. I can’t think of many webmasters that would sell the model her site if they weren’t going to work together. It just doesn’t happen in this biz. Secondly, I didn’t have time to be someone else’s webmaster. I was and am committed to the Bella ladies. That is, unless Kara wanted to join our little army… whoa, that’d be cool as hell.

Side reference to something I said earlier in regards to how webbies don’t offer to sell a site to a girl they are not working with For the record, I did offer to sell the only ex Bella (M) her website, not once but twice after it became apparent we were not compatible working together. Price wise.. a mere fraction of what I could had asked publicly for it. It was a small price and she’d have full ownership. I did try and do what I felt was the ‘right’ thing, but it was ignored. No worries. I am sure there were/are reasons and that’s cool, I respect those. I wish her nothing but the best of luck with her future. As I said though, this sort of thing (webbies playing nice) doesn’t happen in the business very often.

So when Kara told me she was going to buy her site, I thought she was possibly being very, very optimistic. (*very* optimistic)

We talked more and more over the upcoming months and I can still recall her email to me when she took possession of her site. She was JACKED THE FUCK UP excited!

She did it!!

So then the thought of working with Kara became something of a reality.

Anyone that knows me, knows I am *very* picky about who I add to Bella. I want to center myself with people that work hard, and are committed to their members. I don’t want to have to make up stories of why there isn’t an update this week. I want members to feel good in their decision to join a girl’s site. Again, I’m not perfect by any means but I work hard and I ask those that I work along side, to join me in working hard. Crazy, I know.

If I approach a girl about being part of Bella, I see something in her that I feel would compliment what we’re doing. Ethics and hard work are the two key factors I look for. Hotness is also on the list, of course. Dur. :p

I digress…

She just finished shooting with Katie Banks recently and rumor has it.. 2012 has some big things in store for us all.

What really makes me smile, is when a model does her homework, and comes to me about working with me. She loves what Bella stands for, what we’ve created and wants to be part of the team. That’s a huge compliment to what we’ve accomplished here. We started with one site, and built from there. Yes, I had to release some along the way because they weren’t holding up their end of the deal, but such as life. Same as any job, you’ll find people you’re not compatible with. No shit talking needed, nothing to say other then, things work out for the best. I have no hard feelings towards anyone out there, webmaster, model, people in general. Life is too short. We’ve declined working with many models because we were on different paths at the time. I am not one of those webmasters that just keeps taking on new sites, new girls etc. I’d rather work hard on the handful of sites we have instead of creating a network of 30-40 sites that never get updates. A happy model is an active model. True story. The only way someone gets added to Bella, simply put, she has to be Bella material. Hardworking, dedicated, honest.

So at the end of summer this year, I was approached by a rather well known model about her joining the Bella team. She wasn’t looking to sell her site, she just wanted to be part of what we’re doing. She was with another webmaster at the time, and she was getting out of that partnership, and wanted to come over and join forces with us. This whole conversation came at the weirdest of times for us though, because we were in the middle of moving! derp! We had so much going on, and we’d been planning a rather large scale site at the time as well.

Side comment – yes, yet another new Bella site that will take shape shortly. I could have launched it twenty times now but the idea of launching a new site with 20-30 sets is sort of senseless in my opinion. If you’re going to tell people you have a large model site, make it large site. The large scale Bella site we’re doing won’t go public for another month at least, and it’s fucking MONSTER sized and yes, feel free to quote me on this. We’ve been stock piling for this mofo.

Where was I?…. oh yeah.. new girl…

A new model is joining Bella Familia.

She’s well known, she’s beautiful, she’s someone that has her shit together. She’s not a flake, she works her ass off, the list goes on. We’re thrilled to be working with her. We didn’t buy her site, we don’t own her site. We’re just joining forces.

Who is she? Well, see… there’s the thing… I can’t say just yet.

I know, I know, big lead up and then nothing. I’m like that girl that makes out with you all night, gets you all hot and bothered and then leaves because you don’t have a rubber. I mean, really. (kidding, calm down)

I was up to 5am last night creating a temp site that will be there for the entire purpose of getting things switched over. I am going to be emailing her active members today or tomorrow explaining that she’s joining Bella and as an active member of her site, here’s a free pass to the entire Bella network to make you smile while we’re getting things moved over. With every bit of construction, there’s always bumps so this free pass will hopefully smooth over most of those. Of course, I’ll be checking those that email me with the active list to make sure that yes, you’re a member and you’re emailing me from the right email address etc. Common sense.

Some of you have speculated, some of you have asked me directly. I have heard a few names throw around. It’s weird, but cool at the same time.

I can now confirm that Tiffany Teen is making a come back and she’s going to be with Bella.

Dear Penthouse,

I never thought this could happen to me. The other day I was cleaning a pool on my route when I heard three beautiful vixens slashing and frolicking. I look up and to my surprise, I could see into the master bathroom, a clear view of the bathtub! I could see these three in the bath clear as the nose on my face. I could hear them calling to me to come in… er…

Yeah.. that shit *actually* happened. Well, there was no calling the pool guy in. It was pretty much OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT… haha

We had leased this beautiful home and paid a pretty penny for it. The pool guy was/is friends with the owners. OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT

Fortunately, nothing came of it, but yeah, it was scary for a moment or two. Then it became hilarious because the thought of three beauties in a bathtub is sexy to everyone, well, everyone other then Talia Shepard. She loves her Bella girls much but she thought being in the same bathwater with others was, in her words, “Butt Soup”.

Working with beautiful women puts me in an interesting position to see and hear what they deal with on a daily basis. Of course, just because one female deals with something, doesn’t mean they all do. It’s kind of fucked up. Many guys out there create this fantasy in their head that they know the model personally because they chatted with her once or twice online, or emailed her something or bought something off her wish list for her.

Let me be clear here for those that are unsure of where the line is drawn. If you know a model in real life, you know the reality, you can tell the difference between online and offline. If you truly know her in real life, you should have known her before she became a model. You should know people together outside of the internet. Make sense?

Just because you’ve bought a girl one item, ten items, twenty items, doesn’t make you best friends. It makes you an incredibly generous fan and she probably appreciates you greatly, but that does not give you the right to invade her personal space. It does not give you the right to assume you’re now friends and you can ask her about her personal life and actually expect a response.

Some models are open books. What you see is what you get and they love interaction with their fans, they make the fan believe that he/she is a real friend and someday they might hang out. Whether this happens or not, who knows. Other models are more private with their lives, and that should be respected.

What brought this post on?

Well, to be blunt.. Bryci and I moved recently. We had stalkers in Alberta, people that actually would write and comment on seeing us at the mall and shit like this. They would tell us that they “knew us in real life” when they didn’t have a fucking clue who we are, what we’re about etc. They saw us shopping, so now in their twisted head, we’re friends? Are you fucking HIGH? Come on man, you’re an adult, use your head for fuck’s sake.

So we relocate and I shit you not, we’re not here a week and we have people stalking us again.

That’s fucked up.

If you’re a guy, and you’ve seen nude photos of a model, this does not make you friends. She isn’t going to want to hang out with you, she sure as fuck isn’t going to want to fuck you. Relationships aren’t that complicated, if you talked to real people off the net, you’d understand how they work. A normal well adjusted person would never in a million years fire off an email to a model, saying you, we live in the same town, let’s meet up. That’s just stupid. They’d know better, they’d assume they’ll get ignored and they would. Just as if you walked up to a beautiful women in a shopping mall or bar and said hey, you’re hot, let’s go fuck. She’d walk away, shaking her head, but not before calling you a loser or better yet, beating the shit out of you. You expect because a model is small, she can’t throw down.. but some of the se girls *may* be black belts. Feel like insulting her yet? Good luck with that one, sport.

To email someone and say hey, you live here etc, I know you etc. That’s just straight up psycho.

I think 99 out of 100 people get it. We know this is fun. We see beautiful women, we admire them and respect them. We drool over some and maybe even whack to others (no, we’d never do that, sheesh). It’s that one in one hundred that has no perception of reality.

I knew of one model who is still active, one of the better known/famous models out there. Poor lady had had a guy show up at her work. Fucker drove several state lines. I can’t imagine the WTF thought she had in her head when this loser showed up.

One of the girls I used to work with, a long time back (10+ years ago), had a guy email saying he was going to crawl into her bedroom window with a steak knife… and we’ll edit the rest. Suffice to say, some losers are out there. Some very, very fucked up people. I had to get the cops involved with this guy, we did, he was arrested. My job is to keep these ladies safe as possible, so if you cross the line, yeah, I’ll smile as I do what I do.

If Bryci and I are out and you see us, that’s cool. Don’t expect us to go for drinks, have lunch or invite you into our life. Don’t ask us where we live for fuck’s sake, use your head. If you come up and say hi, great, we love the fans but seriously, please don’t cross that creep line.

I get asked often who the next Bella girl will be. Who are you going to shoot next? I thought I’d write a small blog to hopefully cover some of these questions. I mean no offense to anyone in this blog of course, if you work for another company or you’re a colleague of mine, this is not pointed at you or anyone specifically. If it was, I’d say so. I’m somewhat outspoken, if you know me, you know this.

First off.. I am not actively looking to add new models I shoot to Bella. Put simply, I think it’d be a mistake. Some solo model networks (not to be confused with webcam model networks because those are girls on cam, not girls will full sites etc) will add almost any female that they talk to. What ends up happening, they get 10+ girls and the network ends up not as good because none of the girls have decent representation online, they’re forgotten quickly because the network is trying to add the next girl or the next girl or the next girl.

I believe in quality over quantity. So you will never see 10-20 solo models in our network. Too many areas for error there in my opinion.

For the past year, I get 1-3 girls weekly coming to me wanting to be the next girl we work with. Some of these girls are current models with other programs, some, very well known models. They love what we do with Bella and they want to be part of it. That’s flattering and quite frankly, I am honored to be asked. That said, I haven’t moved forward with anyone new for a reason. That reason is what I said above. Quality over quantity.

At the start of the year, I told myself there were two women I’d work with in the future if I had the chance. Two. This is out of all models out there. It’s not about looks, I mean sure… looks matter but it was about attitude, work ethic, women that I myself admire. I wanted to photograph these ladies if I had the chance and possibly some day, I will get the chance. One is Gisele, the other, will remain a mystery… for now. You’ll understand why later.

Maybe someday I can shoot Gisele or Gisele and Bryci? Abs – you know I luvs ya.

I want to be inspired by those I work with, Katie Banks does this daily with her attitude, her work ethic, her blogaramajama that beats the piss out of my blog for consistency and continual updates. Talia does this with what she brings to the set when we’re shooting. She’s a sweetheart, she always makes me laugh. Bryci does this in everything she does but as you know, I’m biased. I hearts her more then humanly possible.

Bryci – Feb 2009 – we started her site and a short time later, started Bella off it. Bryci continues to kick ass with her site, she rocks my fucking socks.

Ava Dawn – Oct/Nov 2009 – paid salary model we worked with for a short time. She’s good people, she’s a student now and moonlights on MFC. We will not be working with Ava in the future. No drama there, she’s a student and we don’t live anywhere near her. We wish her nothing but the best in her future.

Katie Banks – Feb/March 2010 – started working with her and have shot her three times now. I’m honored to consider her a good friend. She’s a blast and can out drink your ass when it comes to Jack in the Box oreo milkshakes. Fact. I still work with her and she is active in her website and on Babe Chat

Talia Shepard – June 2010 – I purchased the rights to Talia’s old website and old contract from another webmaster, Doug from YDG. I quickly signing her to a new contract as well as ditched her old website content and flew her to Canada to shoot new content for her site. I have shot Talia a few times now, flying her to Canada twice, as well as flying down to Arizona to shoot her twice. She’s a lot of fun and we love working with her. She’s one of my homies. I still work with her and she is active in her website and on Babe Chat

Monroe Lee – Nov 2010 – Wow, where to start? I knew Monroe for 3 years, she lived with us for a short time and she was once considered a close friend. That changed drastically at the end of 2010 and I was left with no choice but to terminate her contract with us in January 2011 before we did the Arizona trip.

There is much speculation as to what happened, why it happened, who was involved in this etc. Suffice to say we’re adults and we were meant to be on different paths. I own monroelee.com and it will continue to run as part of the Bella network. Side note for those thinking I screwed her over, you’re either misinformed or wrong in your assumptions. I did offer to sell the site to Monroe for an incredibly cheap price once it was clear we were not able to work things out and move forward, working together. That price was at an enormous discount of what I could have sold it for to other webmasters if I had gone in that direction, because I was trying to do the right thing. I even offered to help her get it set up on a new host, with a new site, moving her current members over, blog etc where she was her own webmaster.

Find another webmaster willing to help one of his or her former models like this.

I felt I was doing the right thing at the time, but somehow it was misread as me being rude or sarcastic so my help was declined. Again, it was misread or I would not have been offering to help her in the creation of a new site, installation of software, getting ccbill set up, setting up a blog etc. It’s unfortunate, because I did have the best of intentions, but it is what it is.

Moving forward…

I wish Monroe and her new webmaster, Doug from YDG, nothing but the best with her new site and yes, I sincerely mean that.

Life is too short and we’re adults. Fuck the drama.

So there you have it kids, that is what is going down.

Bella is booming and yes, there are new sites coming to Bella in the near future. Some of these sites are multi model sites, and one, is something I just can’t tell you about yet, but we’re crazy excited about.

I said that we would not add another solo model site to the network *UNLESS* it fell into the quality over quantity section. If I find (or have already found) someone that compliments what we’re doing, and she’s a great fit and wants to work WITH us, not for us, then who knows?
