hey man,
i hope this is your correct email. i just wanted to tell you that i
bought your book today, and HOLY CRAP is it good!! dude, youre a
fantastic fucking writer, tho ive always known that much over the yrs
as ive always been an avid reader of your blogs from yrs ago, and ive
always thought that you were a great frickin writer even then! your
book is full of great stories of your experiences and the places youve
been, and some great photos to back up your words, im genuinely
impressed man, for real. i know that might not mean much coming from a
nobody like me, but i really truly am. ive always wondered about some
of the things youve said in the past, how true they were, or if you
were just using your great way with words to tell a tale or 2…but im
now a true believer, and im also a true blue fan my friend…well, ive
always been a fan of sorts to your writing…but im now a fan to your
experiences and the things youve done, and most important, to your
hard work and dedication to your craft james! youve worked hard and
taught yourself what i went to college to get certified in doing the
same as you…so my hats off to you man, i know how hard that must
have been for you to accomplish…cause i had the convenience and ease
of being taught what you do as far as web/graphic design in the
classroom with a bunch of other geeks…and i loved every minute of
it, still do…just wish i was busier with it is all. keep up the hard
work man, being able to move forward with all of this and keep going
at it, is the success of it all, and youre succeeding and then some!
now ima go back and finish reading your book, and im now looking very
forward to your next one! i bought this one from amazon, now will they
send me a hard copy of it, cause id really like a hard copy of this
book for my own library. take care man! keep on keepin on!

Shaun,
Thanks for the kind words man! Always appreciated and always nice to read someone enjoyed my book. It means a lot coming from you, or anyone. You’d said it might not mean much coming from a nobody like yourself but guess what? We’re all nobodies! I’m no better than you or the guy beside you. We’re all equals from what I can tell. I wasn’t born with anything I have, and the opportunities that have come my way didn’t fall into my lap. You make your success, or your failure and my my experiences.. you *must* fail a few times before you are able to succeed.
People will always be there to hate on you. Fact. Get over it. People will always tell you that you can’t do this or it’s stupid to do that. Fuck them, they’re weak. Get past them. At the end of the day, you have yourself to account to. That’s it. Once you come to terms that nothing really matters in this world, you’ll find an incredible sense of freedom wash over you. Someone wants to talk shit about you? Let them. Who cares? All they’re doing is basically telling others that they’re little bitches that can’t be trusted. Talk away. Thank you for keeping me in the spotlight.
Like Oscar Wilde once quipped – “The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.”
My book can be bought if you’re curious at http://jamesdot.net for your computer, cell phone, ipad, whatever.
