Well, it’s official. I am a D4.

I just bought a Nikon D4. I could go into the pluses, minuses of the camera but it’d come off like a tech blog and many could care less. So instead, some eye candy.

What you need to know.. the pixels are larger. Meaning, the quality of my photos will be improving. Yaaaaaay!

I’d tell you about the megapixels (16.2) but that doesn’t really matter. It’s the size of the pixels that matters. Many people think higher the megapixel, the better the pic, but this is not always true. Once you pass 10/12 mp, it becomes irrelevant unless you’re printing billboards and even then, doesn’t make a monster difference. What does matter, is the pixel size and sensor size. The larger the pixel, the clearer the pixel. Just because you have more, smaller pixels, doesn’t mean you get a better image. Make sense? if not, check this article from 2008.

The camera is made from Magnesium Alloy. So that’s nice… light, strong as hell.

Justice Laptop

My old laptop skin was getting kind of old and tired. It was a carbon fiber skin and well, I am neither fast, nor furious.

Fuck that shit all day long. Time for some geek.

I picked up this skin from Etsy for the big price of ten dollah. TEN WHOLE DOLLAH.

Bryci put it on my laptop today while I was doing some videos, her way of showing she loves me. (yes, I know I’m lucky, thanks)

In 2013/2014 when the Justice League movie comes out, it had better be fucking good. If I was Warner Brothers, I’d wave a big ass check in front of Nolan to do it.

Nolan or GTFO.

Also, I got new shades today. They seem to make me appear a little more tanned.

Vans

I’m a simple kind of guy. I grew up wearing Vans and pretty much have owned a set my entire life more or less. They’re not of course my only shoe, but they’re one of the sets I have always owned. In the fewest possible words, they’re comfortable. I used to have this one set when I met Bryci that were so tattered, so destroyed… yet I wouldn’t throw them out. I stopped seeing them as eye sores and they were just my go to shoe I guess.

Any of you with a lady in your life will tell you, she takes care of you. When you are wearing crap, she’ll see to it that the crap mysteriously disappears and she does it so seamlessly, you don’t even know it’s gone. Amazing. Seriously. Bryci had tossed my old wrecked Vans out long ago and when I finally noticed, I didn’t care. She did ask me first, and I said sure.. but you know how it is with a set of fav shoes. You miss them. heh

A couple weeks ago, a box arrives. I open it and boom, Bryci had boughten me new Vans. I didn’t know they were coming, it wasn’t a special date, it was a just ‘cause gift.

I tell ya guys, you need to find a woman that will fill in the blanks for you. A woman that will make your life better in so many ways, you lose count.

I’m a lucky guy, no question. Thanks for the new kicks baby, you rock my world.

Zen Desk

So Saturday, @Bryci and I hung the #JUUL painting we picked up online with help of @Taliashepard when it came to shipping out of the US.

It’s on the wall behind my desk, which is just cool as hell for me. I love this painting, it’s so peaceful. Hopefully it teaches me some basic things, like how to be nice. Some will see me having a huge picture of Buddha on my wall as me being a hypocrite. I am not a man of the cloth in that I don’t follow your god, his god, her god. Yet, I have a religious symbol on my wall, no different then a cross.

Well, I disagree in that I don’t slant this way or that way. I find myself liking the simple way of life that Buddhism seems to envelope though. Be kind to others, have respect for the earth, don’t be an asshole.. you know, the basics. Alright, the asshole thing was paraphrasing. Point being, you won’t find me going door to door trying to convert anyone. You won’t find me getting up early on Sunday so I can look down my nose on those not in my belief system. You also won’t seem me telling anyone they’re going to hell. Who am I to say these things?

So you do what’s right for you, I’ll do what’s right for me. Deal? :)

I saw a poster with things said by Dalai Lama that I thought was pretty cool, but I’m wagering some will think it’s hippy shit. I don’t know, it’s weird when you see so many people in such a rat race with others around them. Who drives the nicer car, who has the bigger house, who has the best this or that. Why bother? Why does any of it matter? I need a beautiful new Mercedes so others will see my huge shiny cock? Really?

When you’re laying on your death bed, will you look back on your successes or your failures? Myself, I’ll look back on my regrets, things I didn’t get quite right. I won’t care if I owned this or drove that.. but that’s me. How about you?

Juul

Our kick ass Buddha painting arrived today. done by Juul. 64 x 32 per panel, two panels. Yes, it’s amazing.

We were first introduced to Juul paintings when we were in Arizona shooting last January. The home we had for the month down there had some amazing art on the walls, one of which was a Juul painting. Living in Canada, they don’t ship here though. Customs is a bitch about some items, not sure why. I bought it, had it shipped to Talia and then had her ship to me. No problems, just $50 more expensive for shipping is all. Money well spent. :)

This bad boy is going up on the wall behind my desk. Every little bit of peace and zen I can bring to my day, is a good thing.
