I am so freaking excited about the new Bella sites that are taking shape. We are doing a 5005 overhaul in every way of everything Bella, outside, inside, you name it. All videos are being re-encoded for better quality, more options, faster streaming etc. Things are just fucking sweeeeet!

The new member’s sides offer things simply not seen in the majority of member’s sides. True interaction, almost like a mini social network. Yes, I’m a coding fool!

Been working XAMPP for OS-X so I’m running a full server here on my box to trouble shoot, code, rip apart things etc. Coda is probably the best thing since sliced bread. Coda is a program for OS-X by Panic software. It is seriously my new best friend I think. Combined with XAMPP… holy shit, what can I not do?

Friday is date night with Bryci and you’d best believe once 6:30 rolls around, my ass is off the computer.

This weekend will be a much needed break from work as well. We’ve got some excited things planned and no, no hints. We will be out and about here and there, everywhere.

I’m excited about writing my book. I am sure some of you think… book? What? He’s writing a book?

Yes, yes I am. Not right now of course.. waaay too much going on with work. I am building the new Bella network behind the scenes. It’s fucking epic.

No, the book will take place over the course of the next 6-12 months, not a clue how long it will take me to write it. I have my topic in mind, I have the way it’ll play out in mind. I have my protagonist, antagonist, characters, you name it. What I need to decide is if I want this to be a series or a one off type of thing. The story I want to tell is large, and being that I like to write (as we all know by this point).. rather than creating War and Peace volume 2, 3, 4 etc I might just break it down into a series.

No, this is not about Vampires.

When i do start writing, I will most likely put pieces in my blog for feedback, then again… who knows, maybe not.

I have zero intention of trying to get this book published so no, you will not ever see it at Barnes and Noble or Chapters. That’s old world thinking. Old business models rarely work as well as new business models. There is a reason the newspaper and printing game is going downhill fast and it’s called the internet. If you want to write these days, Amazon and Apple’s iBook store are where you set your sights. Kindle edition, iPad edition etc.

The best thing is, you set your own price so for say, $3.00 a book, you can read my novel. What’s $3.00 right? Amazon keeps there 30% and by the end of the week, maybe I can buy dinner for Bryci and myself at the local pub.

Think Japanese way of doing business instead of American way of doing business.

It’s not about selling high and making profit, it’s about selling low and selling many.

Anyway, I am loving the new small laptop, it makes blogging a billion times faster. This is sort of my test bed for getting ready to write I guess so watch for many, many more blogs.

It’s 4:44am right now. I have been working in smarty for the past three hours straight more or less. I have been encoding HD videos and changing the white point in color balance to bring a bleached out video back to life (small sample grabs from xmas video below) I have been organizing and replacing sets that need to be reuploaded.

In short, I am one busy motherfucker.

As I sit here typing this, knowing full well the dog will wake in about… ohh… 2 hours give or take 30 minutes… my leg is rocking up and down. Jittery doesn’t cover it. How I’ll get the sleep is beyond me, work work work is on the brain brain brain.

See, we’re flipping Bella to a new, well, everything. Many sites I have personally joined just replicate what they do, over and over. They think doing it half ass works. We disagree. Hell, we really, really disagree. Create the site you’d not only join, but you’d stay a member of, ya know? How hard is this to grasp?

The new Bella sites are almost here and after playing in the new member side, I have to tell you… GOD DAMN. There is still a lot of uploading to do. When I mean a lot, I mean.. 300 gigs +. The bella network isn’t small and when we relaunch shortly.. well, we’re only getting bigger. 5 updates per week, per site sound fun? Good.. because some sites will have 6 or 7 updates per week. BellaPass is going to be thumpin with fresh content daily and then some.

I honestly couldn’t be more thrilled with what is coming down the pipes shortly.

It’s now 4:57am so my ass needs to sleep.

This weekend was awesome. We went to spend time with Bryci’s family for the weekend. It was great to get away from life for a couple days. Throwing myself into high gear as of tomorrow, I finally got the go ahead for something and now, it’s GO GO GO time. More on that as it develops.. but whew, very cool shit.

Is your shower faucet like this? Mine isn’t this bad, but I have had this in other homes I have showered. I do that, go to a buddy’s place, excuse myself to go to the bathroom and shower up. Can never be too fresh you know.

I picked up a book recently that has changed the way I view some things, it’s called Four Hour Body. Tim Ferris is a genius. http://fourhourbody.com if you’d like to check the website. I dropped his book in the jacuzzi the other day. It does not float.

Note to Tim, next book you write, make that shit buoyant and I’ll buy one.

The book covers so many different things. The easiest way to categorize it would be say, this is your new bible. It will teach you how to lose weight. It will teach you how to gain muscle. It will teach you that a duck’s ass is not actually water tight. Ok, it won’t teach you that. Well, it might, it’s a big book, I have not read it all yet.

It’s a pretty cool book. I bought the book, and the kindle version as well for our iPhone/iPad/Comps for when I want to reference something quicker.

I saw this on another site and although I am not into bashing your belief system, I do find the irony in some of the books that so called “shape” people’s views out there.

People will quote one or two lines of scripture as fact, yet the ignore other things said because it doesn’t suit their life or whatever. Just sort of confused me I guess. This is why I bow my head to Tim Horton’s coffee and Bob and Doug. Good Day, Eh.

Well, off to do more work.. maybe play some Kinect at some point with B. Damn that fun. Well, aside fromt he little videos they show at the end. You feel might stupid when they do that. I like watching B’s videos though. Damn the woman looks great when she moves. So hot.
