It was fairly clear last night so I took my trusty Nikon D4 outside to try and capture a photo of Mars. #nikonD4

Keeping in mind I don’t have a telescope to do this with, I relied on a Nikkor 70-200mm F2.8G to do this for me, coupled with a Manfroto tripod for good measure.

Here’s Mars fully blown up…. and yes, it is red to the naked eye of you haven’t seen it in the night sky.

One of my true loves in life is photography. I miss shooting!

I sold my Nikon D700 to a friend 3 or 4 weeks back, anticipating my new camera, the Nikon D4 on Feb 16th. Then Nikon released news that the D4 has been delayed until March 15th so now.. I’m going into withdrawal. I am shooting Bryci shortly and we’ll be using her camera, the Nikon D5100 which is an amazing camera as well so I know all will be fine as wine. I just can’t wait to get back to shooting often.

When we go on location for shoots, we never know what we’re going to get. In the past we’ve encountered people walking down paths to literally standing fifty feet away on a rooftop we were shooting on. You never know what you’re going to get, and I guess this makes it a little exciting.

Upside, B wasn’t naked yet but this guy def was all smiles when he passed.

Ah yes, the fun of shooting in an uncontrolled environment.
