I bet sometimes you feel like this tree. I was walking in Washington state near Pullman, Washington one night and I saw this tree out in the middle of nowhere. Alone. All alone. It had nothing near by but wheat fields. Miles and fucking miles of wheat fields. I had to snap a photo of this. Old camera, so pic is grainy. Click for 1800 wide if you want.

You ever feel like this tree?  Sure you’re surrounded by others but it’s not really the same thing. They’re different. They don’t get it. They don’t get you. Not like another tree would at least. (so should have typo’d wood instead. lolol)

I have felt like this tree more times than I can count in life. On occasion, I still do. It has nothing to do with B, or my family, or my friends for that matter. I’m sure you can relate and I’m sure B feels this way too on occasion. Sometimes, we all feel like nobody gets it. It sucks ass doesn’t it? We take the weight of the world head on and we hope we survive it. We’re all so strong, but at the same time, we’re totally not.

Often, we’re our own worst enemies. I know this is certainly true of myself. I took a toll of the ways I have changed since B and I moved from friendship to dating.. we’ve been together now over 4 years. I cannot get over how different I am. She’s evolved me and hopefully I’ve evolved her as well.

B is my rock. Words cannot express how much she means to me.

I am still not tired, but I reaaaaaly need to go to bed. My stomach was fucked earlier, had an upset tummy for the past 2 or 3 days.. but it’s going away finally. It’s 3:46am and Jack will be waking in about six hours, expecting me to take him outside. B often takes him too so maybe she will spring from bed with enthusiasm and I’ll be spared the morning pee patrol. If not, so be it.

I think we’re going to CostCo today to buy some fruit. Maybe update our membership from regular to muthafuckin PIMP mode, yo. Yeah, encrusted jewels on that shit. What up.

I saw this though… it made me think; where do we draw the line? I mean, if we’re supposed to follow ‘the good book’, where do we decide which version we follow? Which ‘laws’ do we listen to and which ones do we ignore because they’re just silly?

We had declared Golden to be a fagbot. He’s not. Panthro is. I keeeeeeedd, sheesh, touch crowd.

Ok, jokes aside.. before adding Talia to the Bella family, the network was very softcore. Very Playboy style. Nothing wrong with that at all but of course, some girls chose to do something different. Midgets, clowns, golden (shudder).

We talked to Talia and other models and we heard the all too familiar story of a model that gets into the biz, she is told she *has* to do this or that or she won’t be wanted, nobody will pay her for shoots etc. Basically, the girls were lied to by guys that either a) had no experience in what sells, what doesn’t, how to sell or b) didn’t really care about the longevity or the girl’s well being. Sucks but reality is, this industry can be hard on the girls, so if you make their lives easier, odds are they will be happy. I’m not saying stop a girl from doing this or that, but let HER decide what is right for her, don’t tell her she must do this or that to make a buck.

Side note… when I launched Davia.com waaaaay back in 98/99 with Davia, she asked me what I thought would sell and I have to admit, I was wrong. I was a typical male. I told her spread and toys or GTFO. No way some guy was going to give a shit about boobs and teasing.

Wow. I was sooooo wrong.

I mean come on, Playboy has made an entire empire off of the tease. Sure, harder stuff sells but point here is that a girl can do what she wants and if she is genuine, and she’s attractive, she’ll do well.

Anyway… getting back on point…

We told Talia and the other Bellas that from now on, soft and teasing was the way we were going. Then the other day Bryci and I were sitting on the couch having a work meeting as we often do and we realized we had broke Bella Rule #1!

Thou shalt not tell a model what to do in her website.

So we retracted the idea. We have now told the girls, do what makes you happy. If you want to play with yourself, go to town. If you want to keep it Playboy and tease like crazy, that’s cool too. Anything works, as long as you’re happy and it makes you excited when you wake. After all, if you don’t love doing your site, how long would it be until you quit?

Like you, I have seen models come and go. How many times you start to like a web model and you’re thinking, wow, this girl is down to earth, she’s hot, she’s got an insane body… and then poof, like magic, her ass has vanished. It happens more than I care to admit. Tiffany Teen ring a bell? She was hot, she was doing great, then some personal shit came into play. I am not to say what happened, I have heard different versions and truth is, again, not my place to say. I’m just saying she quit while she was on top and that kind of sucked. If some things could have been tweaked, would she have stuck around? Who knows.

I don’t want Katie to quit tomorrow. I don’t want Talia to quit tomorrow. I don’t want Monroe to quit tomorrow, sheeet her site isn’t really live yet as it is yet!. Ava is on hiatus at the moment, but if things work out she’ll be back. As for Bryci, if she was to quit tomorrow I am fine with it. After all, her happiness is honestly all I care about here. She is doing her site to have fun, and as long as she is having fun, I suspect she’ll keep doing her site, same as any model.

• We cut out toys and playing, and switched all the Bella sites to softer a month back or so.
• We were wrong in doing so, because in doing so we broke Bella rule #1
• We have now told the girls, do whatever you want, as long as you’re happy.

It’s September! My birthday is coming up! I cannot get over how fast the year has flown. It seems like only yesterday I decided to open this site, my little corner of interwebs to rant, bitch, hype, discuss and joke around. Sure some people have gotten all pissy with me because they read this or that and took it to heart. Meh, what can ya do? Some people are just really, really uptight.

They need to join Bryci.com and chill the fuck out.

Been busy this past week. Getting things set up, doing some growth for the Bella Network, planning shoots etc. It’s been a blur of a week if I am being honest. I know it’s only Tuesday but damn, it’s been a good five to six days of crazy. Fortunately, we’re getting back to normal-ish now so life gets back to being easier.

So let’s see.. what is happening?

Personal – Things are fucking FANTASTIC with B. Girl amazes me with everything she does. She is without doubt my best friend, she makes sense of the crazy for me. We’re both going hard on toning up, eating clean, drinking lots of water. You know you’re with the right person when after 4 years together, you can still hang for hours on end and have fun. She knows me better than I know myself. Like I said, she makes sense of da crazy. We went for a long walk today around a lake, it was a little windy but Jack liked it.

Work – Whoa. That’s all I can say there. Whoa. We’re gearing up to release a fresh Bella site inside the next week. Well, face lift, new photos, videos, webcam archives etc. Then, around 3-4 weeks from now, we’re flying a new model up to shoot her. Her name is Lexi, so once she’s done being shot, that’ll be yet another new Bella site. We launched BellaStars a week or two back, we’re about to relaunch BellaPass as well.

We added 5 sites between July 2009/July 2010 so our goal is to add more in the next year. Will we add 5 more? Not sure, honestly it’s more important to have quality sites with great content, where the girls are happy. Time will tell what we add, who we add. So tomorrow, I am back at it more or less. So for those that have been checking in to see what’s new, yes, there is stuff new. I’ll bring you up to speed in my next post.
